At the day after returning to Frankfurt from Norway, we had a drive to Wuerzburg with our son, his wife, and their daughter. We could enjoy the beautiful view of the old town with red roof and of the river Main from the Fortress Marienberg.
We looked at inside the fortress and took a rest before this garden.
We walked down from the fortress to the downtown crossing Olld Main ridge. After taking a lunch of sausages and white beer at the old restraunt of this picture, we took a walk along the street to Residenz.
Residenz is a beautiful baroque building, which had been a residence of bishops of 18th century.
