* Produced by Phil Wainman.
** Produced by Bill Martin & Phil Coulter.

Notes:

A mixture of first two Euro/U.K. LP's, "Rollin'" and "Once Upon A Star", with the odd detour thrown in. Such as:
The string-less Euro single version of "Give A Little Love";
A totally different version of "Be My Baby" than the one which initially appeared on "Rollin'";
The U.S. (promo) single version of "Summer Love Sensation" from 1974, which differs from the original "Rollin'" version of it in the way that string have been added to it.
Also, of course, we have here the "Once Upon A Star" version of "Keep On Dancing", as well as the Leslie McKeown sung versions of both "Remember" and "Saturday Night".

"Rock N' Roll Love Letter"

(Arista Records, 1976)
Cat.# 4071.

Tracklisting:

1. Money Honey

2. La Belle Jeane

3. Rock And Roll Love Letter *

4. Maybe I'm A Fool To Love You

5. Wouldn't You Like It

6. I Only Wanna Dance With You

7. Shanghai'd In Love

8. Don't Stop The Music

9. The Disco Kid

10. Eagles Fly

11. Too Young To Rock & Roll

Personnel:

Leslie, Alan, Derek, Woody, Eric.

Produced by Phil Wainman.
Except * by Colin Frechter.

Notes:

Another combo mix; this time it's culled from the Euro/U.K. LP's "Once Upon A Star" and (mostly) "Wouldn't You Like It", with new single sides "Money Honey" and "Rock & Roll Love Letter" thrown in for good measure.
Sorry to disappoint, but the only real curio here is a slightly edited version of "La Belle Jeane". Inexplicably, a drum break of circa 5 seconds ('We can't have any of that musicianship nonesense,' Clive said. Possibly.) appears to have been cut out!

"Dedication"

(Arista Records, 1976)
Cat.# 4093.

10. Dedication
Original version, sung by Ian. The single version, sung by Les, replaced it on later U.S. pressings of the album!

Personnel:

Leslie McKeown (Lead vocals and background vocals); Eric Faulkner (Lead guitar, rhythm guitar, acoustic guitar and vocals); Stuart 'Woody' Wood (Bass and vocals); Derek Longmuir (Drums, percussion and vocals); Ian Mitchell (Rhythm guitar and vocals)

Produced by Jimmy Ienner.

Notes:

Instead of "Money Honey" and Rock & Roll Love Letter" - both of which were included on the European version of the album but which the Americans had already gotten on the "Rock N' Roll Love Letter" LP - here we have "I Only Want To Be With You" (a non-LP single side in Europe) and Russ Ballard's strange "Are You Cuckoo?"; the latter of which wasn't issued in the U.K. until a 'bit' later, and then as the B-side of the "You Made Me Believe In Magic"(1977) single, along with the Les McKeown-sung "Dedication", which replaced the original album (Ian Mitchell-sung) version on later American pressings of this album. Phew! Confused? Well, from now on it gets relatively simpler...for a while.
