U.K. Single Releases

(With a whiff of the 'continent')

"Keep On Dancing"/"Alright"

(Bell Records, 1971)(Cat.# Bell 1164)

Highest U.K. chart position: #9.

Initially, the A-Side of Bell 1164 was supposed to have been "We Can Make Music", with "Alright" still on the B-Side, and there were some copies pressed like that, although never commercially issued. Surely a sought-after collector's item, since "Keep On Dancing", of course, later became that single.

"We Can Make Music"/"Jenny"

(Bell Records, 1972)(Cat.# Bell 1220)

Failed to chart in the U.K.

"Manana"/"Because I Love You"

(Bell Records, 1972)(Cat.# Bell 1262)

Did not chart in the U.K., but became "massive" in both Israel and Iceland -- rather small markets.

"Saturday Night"/"Hey C.B."

(Bell Records, 1973)(Cat.# Bell 1319)

"Remember"/"Bye Bye Barbara"

(Bell Records, 1973)(Cat.# Bell 1338)

Highest U.K. chart position: #6.

"Shang-A-Lang"/

(Bell Records, 1974)(Cat.# Bell 1355)

Highest U.K chart position: #2.

"Summerlove Sensation"/
"Bringing Back The Good Times"

(Bell Records, 1974)(Cat.# Bell 1369)

Highest U.K. chart position: #3.

"All Of Me Loves All Of You"/
"The Bump"

(Bell Records, 1974)(Cat.# Bell 1382)

Highest U.K. chart position: #4.

When covered by Kenny a bit later, "The Bump" became a #3 U.K. hit.

"Bye Bye Baby"/"It's For You"

(Bell Records, 1975)(Cat.# Bell 1409)

Highest U.K. chart position: #1.

Although not in a PS, some pressings of the British issue came with a double-sided insert, w/"BBB" lyrics on one side & B/W band pic on the other.

"Give A Little Love"/
"She'll Be Crying Over You"

(Bell Records, 1975)(Cat.# Bell 1425)

Highest U.K. chart position: #1.

(Bell Records, 1975)(Cat.# Bell 1461)

Highest U.K. chart position: #3.

"Love Me Like I Love You"/
"Mama Li"

(Bell Records, 1976)(Cat.# Bell 1477)

Highest U.K. chart position: #4.

"I Only Wanna Be With You"/
"Rock 'N Roller"

(Bell Records, 1976)(Cat.# Bell 1493)

"It's A Game"/"Dance Dance Dance"

(Arista Records, 1977)(Cat.# Arista 108)

Highest U.K. chart position: #16.

"You Made Me Believe In Magic"/"Dedication"(II)/"Are You Cuckoo"

(Arista Records, 1977)(Cat.# Arista 127)

Highest U.K. chart position: #34. The last BCR single to chart in the U.K.

"The Way I Feel Tonight"/"Love Power"

(Arista Records, 1977)(Cat.# Arista 144)

Did not chart in the U.K.

Although the label states that the version herein of "The Way I Feel..." is 'edited from the album It's A Game', nothing could be further from the truth - this is the exact same version as can be found on the album.

"All Of The World Is Falling In Love"/
"If You Were My Woman"

(Arista Records, 1978)(Cat.# Arist 212)

Contains a rather messy edit of "All Of The World Is..."

"Turn On The Radio"/"Washington's Birthday"

(Arista Records, 1979)(Cat.# Arist 259)

First single as The Rollers; last U.K. release on Arista.

"Life On The Radio"/"Ricochet"

(Epic/CBS, 1981)(Cat.# EPCA 1225)

As The Rollers.

Another poorly executed single edit version (Just who exactly did those things? I find it hard to believe that the band was in any way involved...). Now of the otherwise excellent "Life On The Radio".

The U.K. issue wasn't in a picture sleeve - the scan is of the Dutch release.

"No Doubt About It"/"Set The Fashion"

(Epic/CBS, 1981)(Cat.# EPCA 1402)

As The Rollers.

"Flower Of Scotland"/"Bye Bye Baby"

(Fast Edge Records, 1991)(Cat.# Bay 002)

A double A-Side.

"Bye Bye Baby" is an updated re-recording of the classic, and was, as Eric once remarked, 'someone's good idea at the time'.

"Bye Bye Baby"/"Give A Little Love"/
"Shang-A-Lang" (5" CD Single)

(Old Gold, 1993)(Cat.# OG 6198)

Contains the original hit recordings from the mid-70s.

"Bye Bye Baby"/"Give A Little Love"
(5" CD Single)

(Old Gold, 1996)(Cat.# 1262363672)

...more of the same.

"I Only Want To Be With You"/"Saturday Night"

(5" CD Single)

(AMC Records, Belgium/Holland 2001)(Cat.# AMC 14029)
