＜「御柱」の日＞

静岡からサブちゃん夫妻が訪ねて来てくれた。サブちゃん夫妻はいつもそこはかとない睦まじさ見せて
くれる。そのことがこっちの暮らしにえもいわれない暖かみを置いていってくれる、それが嬉しい。
そしてもう一つ、サブしゃんたちは来るときに何時もあの懐かしい「黒はんぺん」どっさりという
ほどお土産に持ってきてくれる。この味は静岡育ちにしかわからない懐かしさと充足感をくれるのだ。

"Sabu-chan" and his wife came and visited us. He is a youngest brother of my special friend at home
who has been passed for 8 years. They always bring us a special warmth more than a brother.
One of the most "special" is that they bring us every time my favorite fish food with which I had
been brought up. Shizuoka faces the Pacific ocean and I have been accustomed to the smell of fish.

この自然体の仲の良さは、私よりも一回りほども若いのにどことなく年輪と、時間の流れを感じさせてくれる。
I feel always a kind of warmth and favorable feelings that might indicate the living it should be.

ちょっと60代には見えないし、子供の頃と変わっていない。
They don't look 60's, and they don't look different from when we were kids.

手足に不自由を抱える奥さんを、サブちゃんはさりげなく支える。
She has troubles in her fingers and he always support in this casually.

サクラはサブちゃんたちにはとても馴ついていて、家族だと思っているらしい。
Sakura knows them very well and she may be thinking they are my brothers'.

彼女は花にとても詳しく、この辺りに咲く草花なら何でも分かるらしい。
その影響かサブちゃんも私よりはずっと詳しいし、育て方も知っている。
She knows almost all flowers around here and therefore Sabu-chan
knows also those names and the way how to grow them at home.

サブちゃんは犬好きなのがよく分かる。
Sabu-chan love dogs and he looks as it is.

そしてサクラもサブちゃんが好きだ。
And "Sakura" also loves "Sabu-chan".

天然のすみれを静岡の家に植えるのだそうだ。
He says he will transplant the wild violet to his garden.
